Project categories: where is Jira using this information? Edited

we renamed Project Categories and realized that the project boards were broken afterwards.

Where/What for does Jira use Project Categories? Are there any (other) dependencies? I thought it is just for grouping projects.

Thanks - i'll check that.

Search and the project listings are the only places Jira uses the category.  So it should be just your filters you need to update.
