Project admins unable to add statuses using simplified workflow

hi,

users of 7.3 server.

If using a simplified WF, my understanding is project admins can add statuses to the WF , through the board's columns. I had a project with custom wf then changed it to simple and I added users to the "Project Admin" role but the "add status is not enabled yet.

I created the board. Do they need to administer the board as well ?

Board administration permission is different from project permission. If you want other people to be able to configure the board you need to add them as Board administrator under Configure board.
