Project Workflows

I have a project with a workflow (WF). I want to make my workflows consistent across the program I'm on. I copied this projects WF and renamed it. The project has over 800 issues. If I change to a new workflow, which is an exact duplicate of the workflow on the project will I encounter any issues, like loss of data, etc?

For any issues that have a status in your current workflow which is not present in your future workflow, you will get prompted to re-map the status. Other than that, maybe depending on the fact if you are using any additional plugins, I would see no reason why you could run into any other issues.
