Project Shortcuts Configuration

Karthik Venkat June 9, 2016

The Project shortcuts is a great feature for users in a certain JIRA project. However the links in this section is limited to https websites. The JIRA project we work with could use a lot of links to internal network shared drives. Is there a way in JIRA to configure the Projects Shortcuts section to use network shared drive address? Any help or pointers from this community is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Karthik

You can see a valid list of shortcut URI schemes in the docs:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiracorecloud/project-shortcuts-765593117.html#Projectshortcuts-valid_uris

And there's no way to change this "whitelist".

Would you provide some examples of the links you want to put there ?

Hi Boris,

the unc path as an example is \\MYDATA\Shared\Shared Files

Where MYDATA is the Server name.

We use JIRA as a work request system and often many reference documents are on this shared drive. It would be very handy for users to navigate directly to this from the Project Shortcuts section instead of Windows Explorer.

Let me know if I am not clear.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Karthik
