Project Management best practice regarding Epics vs Versions-Releases

Hi All - I am using JIRA to manage a phased project.  Phases are set up as components.  I have grouped major functionality into Epics.  Some of the issues have a commitment by another team (Product Development).  I'd like a recommendation on which field in JIRA would be the best to identify the future Product Release.   Any suggestions?  Thank you, Kali
