I have created a project on JIRA but I want to restrict access to it. We have an outsourced team and they have their own projects. The problem is that all the developers are in the default group "Jira Developers" and they have access to all projects! How can I fix that.
Remove the ability of the "JIRA Developers" to view all the projects! I'm guessing that your permission schemes have 'jira-developers' in the "Browse Projects" permission. Check that part.
You can manage JIRA permission in many ways. One of them is to create "JIRA Roles" like "Viewer", "User", "Admins" then use that to give access for each project. You also have the option to create one group name per JIRA Project if you so many users.
