My company currently uses Proforma in Jira and I have setup a form with multiple fields for users to enter their information into. My admin has then setup a way to combine all the fields I've created into the description for when the ticket is created. However, I'm told that there is no way to get drop-downs or select choices to be added into the description. Is there another method of being able to do this? Or is this in an upcoming release? Thank you!
Hi @Sarah Reardon , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.
To clarify, you currently have an automation that is collecting the answers from a form and inserting them into the description field. Your question is whether it will be possible to render the fields as they were filled in inside of the description field?
I don't think this will be possible as the description is a standard field in Jira. What you might be able to do would be to map the form fields onto custom fields instead. Do you want to keep the form answers separate for reporting or please can you explain that a bit?
Best wishes
Hi @Valerie Knapp! My admin has setup an automation to collect the data entered into the form from text fields into the description field. But I'm told that radio button selections or drop down selections can't be used in automations to get entered into the description field. Is there any work around for those fields? Or is it only possible for text fields? Thanks!

Hi @Sarah Reardon , thanks for your reply.
It should be possible to map the form fields into custom fields in your Jira, instead of the description. If you can show a screen of the automation, we can offer some advice on how to amend it.
Cheers
