Problem linking GitHub and JIRA

Roustem Karimov June 16, 2013

I keep getting the "Unable to link selected repository. Do you have administrator permissions on the {GitHub|Bitbucket} repository you are attempting to sync?" message when trying to link our company GitHub account to JIRA.

I am the administrator. Private and public repositories are listed. The public repositories can be linked without a problem.

Thank you Immanuel.

I am the administrator and I was logged into GitHub. Unfortunately, there is no separate login for organization in GitHub. While I was able to see both my and company repositories, linking only worked for my own repositories not for company repositories.

I was able to fix that later by clicking "Re-generate OAuth Access Token" option:

Hi Roustem,

There is an existing article which shows similar exception as yours: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Unable+to+Connect+to+a+Private+Repository+using+the+DVCS+Plugin

Basically, you will also need to login to Github (as the administrator to the repo) on the same browser as JIRA. Can you confirm whether you have logged in?

Cheers,
