Priority field - description: is it possible to use html or wiki renderer?

We have different situations/descriptions for the priorities depending on where/how te problem is found.

I would like to be able to add a hyperlink to a page describing in more detail.

Through http href or through []-wikirenderer.

Using the translation-override I'm able to add the http:// link but it's not clickable. (Using normal change just reverts back to default as soon as any strange :[// characters are added to the description).

I do not think you will be able to do this. According to https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Renderers the wiki style rendering is only available for text fields.

Dropdowns use either the auto-complete or select-list.

I am not sure if any custom rendering is available for a field's desciption blurb, I have not seen that done before.
