We have a requirement wherein the user wants to prevent certain custom fields from being exported from JIRA (ex. private information of customers). User also mentioned that it's okay to display it on screen, thus, the set issue security permission setting is not necessary.
Is there any way to perform this JIRA? Please also mention plugins, if available, that can perform the said information.
Field level security is not something which is implemented in JIRA. As long as a user has access to an issue all the field details are accessible - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-1330
At the same time, this plugin appears to support this - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.quisapps.jira.jfs
Hi Renjith,
Thank you for your reply however, the plugin didnt meet our requirement. We wanted to prevent the custom field from displaying in the export file by hiding it from the fields selection during export. Is there any way to do this in current JIRA? I am now believing this is impossible however, if there may be known plugin to help do this, please feel free to suggest.
Many thanks to all the help.
