Possibility of creating redirection when we switch to on-prem Jira

Shai Simchi November 30, 2012

Hi,

We are currently using Jira as a hosted solution.

Our Jira base URL is: https://lucidimagination.onjira.com

we are in the process of moving Jira to an on prem server.

My question is if you can create a redirect/CNAME on your end for our URL so that it will point to our new Jira URL so that we can keep using old links that we have referenced in different systems.

Please let me know what are the available options.

Thanks,

Shai

Hi Shai,

I believe we addressed this via a support ticket, but wanted to drop a note here for anyone else interested. Currently Atlassian cannot provide a redirect/CNAME for your old URL. If these are internal systems, however, I would recommend creating the redirect on an internal DNS server so there are no issues for users on your network.

Thanks,
