You can remove the field from the create issue screen. Currently it seems the field is added on the screen thus it's showing up but as no values assigned to  portoflio plan's team field thus it's empty.

Hi Tarun,

Thanks for the quick replay.

We want the field on the create screen so that we can assign teams to the specific story, tsk or epic.

Is there any way to make it editable with out removing the field?

And the field is mandatory and it is stopping us from creating the issues.

You can make the field optional from the field configuration screen.

You can select values from the team field if you have added teams in the porfolio. If there are no teams in porfolio then you won't be able to add new teams from JIRA User interface. You have to add the teams from within portfolio.
