Please send definitions for the options in the Linked issues field, so that I can see how we might use these options for project management and other. " relates to, blocks, is blocked by, clones, is cloned by, duplicates, is duplicated by"
The default link definitions are intended to be used in sentences, and should not need any explanation (to an English speaker anyway).
Try adding issues to them:
ABC-123 relates to DEF-456
ABC-123 is blocked by DEF-456
DEF-456 blocks ABC-123
and so-on
You can define your own link types, and if you do, my advice would be to use the same linguistic construct - try it in a sentence.
You will notice that they are directional - they show you which issue does something - the three examples I gave are actually only of two issue link types. The second and third could be the same link, viewed from either end.
