Looks like atlassian disabled the users to switch back to the old jira issue view.
Honestly, I found the old view is much easier and more convenient for me to use and drive through. Is it possible you could keep an option for users to switch back to the old jira view?

sorry to hear that there are inconveniences. Although this is my very personal opinion I suggest on watching/monitoring open Suggestions/bugs from https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-70555 (this issue is solely dedicated to New Issue View in Jira Cloud).
Also just from my opinion (I do not have any more details or insights - just like you) the old issue view will not be an option in the future and eventually go away.
