Please provide me steps for the upgrade. Also please let me know if this would affect my current JIRA setup? What would be the hardware requirements which is relatively new for the new version of JIRA 6.3

We have a complete set of documentation to facilitate the upgrade process. I've linked it as follows:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Upgrading+JIRA

One good practice before upgrading your production instance, is to prepare a staging  environment to test the upgrade: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Establishing+Staging+Server+Environments+for+JIRA

This way you're able to identify potential problems and prevent them during production upgrade.

Regarding the hardware requirements, you can find more details in this page below:

Cheers,

Pedro Souza.

Can I upgrade directly to 6.3? Are there any difficulties or any hindrances which may not be supported on the newer version? We only use the greenhopper /Structure plugin  as of now. I see Greenhopper has changed to JIRA Agile. Any other difficulties to be faced?
