Permissions to edit Issue Filters and GreenHopper Boards

Ilya Ismagilov September 27, 2012

Is there any way to let users (excluding creator, owner) edit:

  • Issue Filters?
  • GreenHopper Boards?

It tried to find solutions in JIRA Administration sections, googled, search JIRA documentation, but failed. I found only one issue https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-20234, but it is no resolved.

Hi Ilya,

To edit Greenhopper boards, the user must have JIRA Administrators permission, as you can see on the documentation about Configuring a Board.

As for the filters, if the filter is shared, users with JIRA administrators permisson can change the ownership of any user's shared filter, which allows the shared filter to be edited and modified by its new owner. If the filter is not shared with anyone, only the owner can edit it.

Cheers,

Clarissa.

Thanks for a workaround. I accept this answer, but looking forward to have more logical and clear way to do it in JIRA.
