Permissions of Project Administrator

Hi, we are currently in the process of upgrading to Jira v6.0.1 and are in a postion of creating and applying a new permissions model. What we would like to do, in Jira 6.x.x, is to prevent the Project Administrator from adding any other groups to their project and directly to the role - is this possible? kind regards Amrik

It is not possible to prevent the Project Lead to make changes to the project roles. In order to make changes to the project roles, one needs the "Administer Projects" permission in the permission scheme assigned to the project. When removing the Project Lead from this permission, it will not be able to make changes to the project roles anymore. This however also means it is not possible to make ANY configuration changes to the project.
