Permission management Jira

Deleted user August 21, 2017

Hi there,

I'm relatively new to the Jira administration.
I set up  Jira from the scratch on a Linux Server. So far so fine.
I connected it to our Active Directory and now got 2 additional groups from active directory in my "User management" --> "Groups".

Unfortunately I can't assign or don't know how to grant our group jira_user_read the permission to login into Jira. I mean usually there should be a group jira-users (In my case "jira-software-users"). But I thought since I'm using AD I should handle all my permissions via AD. So how can I grant this "Jira Software" symbol/permission/option to my ad group?

Any help would be appreciated. I will follow up tomorrow.jira.png

Go to Admin -> Applications -> Application access, and add the groups in there.
