Permission Upgrades Failing

nwilliams May 2, 2013

At our company, all employees have a jira account and the belong to the group non-jira users. When I remove a user from non-jira users and then add them to the jira-users group, the change doesn't take. The only fix seems to be to delete their account an start over. This seems like a bug to me. Does anyone have a workaround or a potential fix?

We're using Jira onDemand.

Hi there,

Can you check if the Application Access is granted for the users to access JIRA? On demand instances work a bit different than the standalone version.

You can use shortcut key, g + g + Application Access to get to the page.

Hope this helps, cheers :)

Hi nwilliams,

If all employees already have a JIRA account, they must already exist in the jira-users group. Have you checked if they already exist?

You should be raising a support ticket for this if your using an OnDemand instance.
