Page loading is faster with users in jira-administrators group

Hansoo Bae August 22, 2018

We found this a while ago and have tested several things many times.

We still cannot find any answer.

we have only 1 user in jira-system-administrator group.

and when page loading actually is faster with this user than any other users.

So I add my user ID to jira-system-administrator/jira-administrator group and tested.

and... the result is my user ID is now showing faster page loading as admin user.

and faster means at least 5 times faster (check with dev tools in Chrome)

and normal users are loading many more resources than admin user.  (at least 5 times more resources in terms of number of resources)

Any ideas?

What have I done wrong?  Please help me. :-<

Thank you for your help in advance.

It is possible that you have not done anything wrong.  When a user is an admin, a lot of permission checking is not needed, so Jira skips it.

I'd be interested to see what chrome says the other resources are being loaded are.

Thank you for the answer.

I think you're absolutely right, and I will create HAR file again from Chrome and check.

This helps me a lot to find the cause of the latency.

I will share if I find any other reason for this.

Thank you.
