i wanted to know the steps how to get the pop up notifications, when there is a two fields
"DUE DATE" and "CLOSED DATE" so when the "DUE DATE" has been set to today but the user completes the ticket tommorrow then the user must be able to get some notification that there is a delay between "DUE DATE" and "CLOSED DATE"
can anyone provide with the steps of how it has to be done
Based on your question you want the popup when the user tries to execute the transition. If you want a popup to appear at a random time that is a different story.
If you have an add on that can create a condition that can compare 2 fields (JWFE can do it, as well as various scripting ones) then you can create two transitions one that is only valid if it is before the the due date, and one that is only valid if it is after the due date. Then on the 2nd transition, you can have a transition screen. You can put a custom field on there that contains your message.
But I would ask why you want to do this? What is the point of notifying the user that they are late when they are closing a ticket? Now on the other hand, if you want to force some different behavior when they are late closing a ticket (like adding an explanation) then that is a different story.
