Override the reporter field when creating a jira using an e-mail

I would like to change or override the reporter for an Issue in the Jira, How can i specify this when i am creating a jira using external e-mail. I have tried @Reporter = john and @reporter = john in the mail body and it does not seem to override it. Please let me know how i can change the reporter of the issue by specifying it in the mail.

That is not possible with the default email handler, AFAIK. Use https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.javahollic.jira.jemh-ui
