Open directly an attachment with the software it was written with ...

Hello all,

Is there any way to open directly an attachment with the software it was written with ? (example : open an xls file with Excel instead of opening it inside Internet Explorer)

Perhaps a system function plugin to desactivate ?

Hi Christophe,

In fact the association between the file and the Software is made directly on your operating system. So depending on which OS you are using, you should select "Open With" and choose the software you want to be the default for that kind of file.

And first of all, thanks for your answer.

It already works, when I try to open my attachment using context menu, by clicking on "open on a new tab" or "open on a new window"... but it's another thing if you try to open it, just clicking on the link : in that case, it opens the file inside Internet Explorer on an Office container...
