Only ugrade Greenhopper version ?

Hello,

We are migrating JIRA projects from a server to another.

On source JIRA server, we have JIra software 7.1.2 and greenhopper 7.1.23. This component has been updated in the past for an unknown rasion.

On target JIRA server, At the moment we have Jira software 7.1.2 and greenhopper 7.1.20.

Our migration procedure is the following :

We export / import project schemes with project configurator

We use JIra backup for restoring data

on a developpment server we only upgrade greenhopper .jar to version 7.1.23 and  both Project configurator and restoring JIRA backup works.

But I'm wondering if it's a safe solution . Could an upgrade of JIRA software in version 7.1.9 be better ?

Best regards

beckie

No.

Greenhopper is a very old name for what has become JIRA Software.  You can, and should, ignore all reference to it, and you certainly should not be messing with .jar files for it.

Your best option is to upgrade JIRA Software to a desired version.
