I have come to understand the only way 'Fix' for an issue appears is if you have commits for that issue. In my case I do have commits, but I pressed 'Start Work' only after pushing the changes.
So the only option that appears is 'Reject' but I don't want to reject the issue but rather change the status to Fixed. What should I do?
It sounds like you have a custom workflow designed by the administrator of your jira. This is not out of the box behavior.
