One of my devs is trying to add a filter to his personally created dashboard but is reporting that he doesn't have permission. I don't want to make him an admin, so what are my options here?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Manage groups

I guess some of the groups mentioned in this article are out of date as I don't see them listed, such as Jira-Developers.

The user has jira-software-users selected as his group.

 

Any help welcomed, thanks.

I think he was just trying to create filters in the wrong place.

One trouble shooting step would be:

1) go to system > Shared Dashboard > and make sure he is the owner.

JQL Filters can be shared to user/group/role or be made private, check that part.
