One of my colleagues asked for my assistance getting him a new password? Im new to this

Specifically asked "are you able to reset my Jira password please?"

Hi Robert,

you need to be Jira Administrator for this. Then you can open 

http://<your jira url>/secure/admin/user/UserBrowser.jspa

Search for your colleague and then click on his name. You'll see a page titled "Account information". 

There, click on "Actions" -> Set Password.

If you have an external user management system, you have to change the password there.

Thank you so much for your time. I am an admin but this link doesn't appear to lead me to a location where I might search for my colleague's name.. It brings me to google

OK, then click on the gear in the top right corner, select "User management" from the menu.
