OnDemand GitHub private repository is failing

We're trying to get Jira + GitHub with private repositories within from an Organization (or even just a user at this point). We've gone through the instructions, created the GitHub application, got the GitHub OAuth settings and associated them to Jira, and still can't add repositories.

We just get:

Error!

The repository url [https://github.com/our_org/xyz.git] is incorrect or the repository is not responding.

I've noticed via the chrome console that there are 404's coming from the call to Jira

Anyone have thoughts?
