Old serverid can install a new Jira version?

I have a license from 2009 can I just download the latest version and use the current version with the key I have

No, you can install a version from 2009 and use it if the SEN matches.. which it won't, so a definite no (legitimately).Though even if the SEN doesn't match it will still work for the 2009 version but needs to be the version it was licensed for or the latest possible upgrade it could have been before it expired.

You could just test it and found out? Installing an Eval takes 5 mins
