Notification to due date when assigning an issue

Hi there,

sometimes it happens, that an issue gets assigned to another user but the due date is in the past. Is it possible to create a notification, when assigning the issue, that the due date is in the past? 

Just a notification, no constraint to change the due date.

You cannot do it using the default functionality. If you have the automation plugin, you have options to send an email (using a custom event) or add a comment on the issue if the due date is in the past. You can do this on the "Issue Assigned" event.
