Notification emails to inacitve users?

Hi Everyone,

we have a large number of inacitve users in our JIRA and Confluence. We retain their group memberships and email addresses. My question is: do these inactive users get notification emails? I mean there are a lot of mailer deamon emails get in our JIRA mailbox (the mail address that send out notif. emails).

Does JIRA send notification emails to inactive users or not?

So I think generally emails won't be sent out if you deactivate a user. Apparently there is an issue with filter subscriptions (see last link)
