Notification Scheme: Updates Consolidation

Zoe Kennedy July 14, 2017

Can the notification schemes in Jira be configured so that instead of multiple email notifications upon updating/amending each field such as status/comments and other metadata fields be combined into a single email notification?

Currently these notifications are posted Live for each piece of metadata amended causing emails to build within a mailbox!

No. Notifications are triggered by actions. If you update multiple fields in one edit session only one notification will be send regardless of how many fields you update. However, if you add a comment, then update a field after saving the comment that is a separate action and so a separate notification.

Depending on your needs, you may prefer to disable notifications and create filter subscriptions instead, but it is generally better to receive standard notifications.
