Notification Confusion

I may have tried to oversimplify the problem. I need to alert users when a specific issue type is created in their project. I have been trying to only use a couple of notification schemes across +80 projects. Of course, when I added the roles, Admin and Developer to the notification scheme, everyone in the role received notification of each issue being created in each of the projects. Yikes!

Is there another way around this problem other than creating a notification scheme for each project?

You should be able to do this still using a single notification scheme.  Maybe you need a new event for just this situation?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I am reading about creating custom events and testing in a QA environment. I'll let you know how it works out.
