Systemmanagement March 26, 2015

Hello,

we do not want a notification mail when a custom field (textfield) was updated.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Josh

Hi Joshua,

Based on comments to https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Email+Notifications it's not possible.

In a way. Updating a field normally fires the update event and generates an email. A way around this is to only present the field in a transition and don't fire a post event set to generate emails. I'm not sure if you can delete all events, but you could create your own named noemail that isn't setup to send notifications and fire it.
