New email issue updates

Fernanda de Souza Thaumaturgo October 7, 2019

Hi,

I want to disable this type of email: Whenever an issue is created or updated, I receive e-mails.
I have a administrator profile.
How can I disable this?

Hi @Fernanda de Souza Thaumaturgo

By default, users will get email updates for issue activity when:

  • They’re watching the issue
  • They’re the reporter
  • They’re the assignee for the issue
  • Someone mentions them.

To disable this you need to remove Current Assignee value from Issue update event.

Go to Project Settings > Notifications

Please refer below documentation for more details on this.

Thanks,

I understand that, but I started to be notified suddenly. I realized that I am automatically being assigned to all issues. Do you know how I can solve this? I think that might be the problem.

Hi @Fernanda de Souza Thaumaturgo

There may be the case that default assigne has been set to project lead and if you are project lead, you may have assigned issue.

To check this,

Go Project Settings > Users & Roles > Default assigne > change to unassigned

Also if you are part of Componet lead and default assignee set to Componet lead, you may see that issue are assigned to you based on component value.

Go Project Settings > Components

Thanks,
