Nested groups in JIRA

Is there a way i could check if Nested group is enabled in JIRA?

The reason behind this question is JIRA only seaches for ADsync group where groupscope is "Global". Our organisation is minimizing number of groups in AD and so creating groups with universal scope. Attached is screen shotCapture.JPG

In JIRA, go to Administration > Users > User Directory > Edit and you should see the Nested Groups check box.

Check under user management in JIRA, you'll see references to it if it is enabled (you'll need to be an admin of course)
