Needed: GANTT chart for projects overview, not for tasks

We use JIRA Cloud and have a lot of parallel projects with even more tasks inside. For estimating the work load on the next four months, we would like to see a gantt chart with only projects, not tasks. So every project has a starting date and end date and the gantt chart only shows this data.

I only found solutions for displaying a gantt chart with the tasks of a project, but not an overview chart without the tasks. BIGGANTT e.g. renders all tasks and needs only for displaying this huge chart about 3 minutes - the result is so big, I can't see anything in it, it's just a mess.

Does a solution exist for this requirement?

Currently I haven't heard of an addon that provides this functionality. JIRA and GANTT aren't two words that go well together,... it's all about agility after all. ;-)

Where do you save the projects starting and end dates?

Maybe there's an easy way to retrieve this information via JIRAs REST API. From there you could fetch this into e.g. PowerBI, Tableau,... for visualization.
