I have created projects and incorporated them into the plan for a top-level overview. We have also added custom fields that are necessary for presenting and viewing the plan. However, we are currently unable to configure the 'Project Lead' field to appear on the screen for the top-level view.

Hi @Bharat Patel ,

I don't think displaying Project Lead is possible at the moment.
I've checked jira.atlassian.com (filter link) but didn't find any related suggestions. You can try to scan it yourself, but if one isn't there, you can try to reach out to Atlassian Support and they can probably raise a suggestion for you.

If you find the suggestion or the support raises one for you, please share the link here. I see this as something that might benefit particular implementations we do.

Cheers,
Tom

Hi @Bharat Patel Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

You can incorporate custom fields in your plan using the settings cog-wheel (settings). You can find the tab Custom fields there.

Hope this helps,

Dick

Thank you for your response. We have already configured the necessary custom fields for the top-level view and verified that all custom fields created during the issue type setup are present. However, we need to configure the 'Project Lead' field, which is at the project level, to be visible on the screen for the top-level view.

Hi @Bharat Patel

Actually there's a workaround for your problem: use of Teams in the Plan / Roadmap.

Plan - View Settings lets you group by Teams

Teams are defined inside the Plan as well. Once you use the project lead name as (part of) the team name, issues coupled to that team will show up using the name of the Project Lead.

You can use Automation to fill the team field for each project. Team is a custom field that you can fill like this (please adapt for the right custom field numbers):

I hope this will make your day :)
