Need to know the difference between Epic/Theme v. Epic Link

I don't want to carry and extra field to be filled in. trying to find the difference between the two

The following content hope to help you

--if it's one thing and it's big, it's an epic
--if it's multiple things and they're related, it's a theme

Two key points there:
--not all themes are big (the "fix the typos" theme is 7 user stories but can be done in an hour)
--an epic is never more than one thing



Field that will help you regroup issues under an Epic or under a theme.
Epic Link 
Epic Link field for GreenHopper use only.
Epic Link is used to the Epic and between the other Issue, such as Epic can be split into multiple Story, through the Epic Link Link is established
