We have JIRA Service Desk in clud. I need to inform our (registred) customers about issue assigment. Notifications setup says that they should get notifications but there are no emails about that action.
Mail work fine becouse they have confirmations about issue creation.
please check your assigned workflow. There must be defined an event like "issue created" in postfunction of a specific transition.
If assignee is set on issue screen you probably have to use "issue edited" in your notification scheme.
