My JIRA is so slow !

we have a large JIRA instance (version 5.2.5) in production with :

  • 630 000 issus
  • 15 Projects
  • 1000 customfields
  • 2100 users
  • 80 workflows 
  • 1 700 000 comments

Hardware Resources:

My JIRA instance run on windows 64 with 32GB of memory system and 16GB of JVM. 


the last days, My JIRA so slow ! Unbearable slowness

My Need: 

A hardware recommendation for this type of instance. Especially, RAM, JVM and CPU.

I recommend, that you do an update in the near future. I think newer versions should have a better performance.

It already sounds like your hardware is more than adequate to run your JIRA at a decent speed, so I don't think just throwing more resource at it is going to help you a lot.

You need to analyse what is slowing it down and why.  I always go back to - although it's 4 years old now, it's still absolutley valid - you need to understand the problem before you can hope to fix it.
