Our dev team already uses Jira for internally run their backlog and sprints.

We are about to create a Jira board for client #1 to support a pipeline for a product we developed for them.

We will also be using a Jira account owned by client #2 for an unrelated project.

Can we link our internally Jira board with the boards on both clients' instances.  The concept being we would run sprints on both client's instances but use our Jira instance to manage the process.

Can that be done?

Hi @Richard R Miller

A very warm welcome to the community! This is Majid @ Exalate.

I see that Exalate has already been suggested as a possible solution here (thank you @Valerie Knapp). You should be able to easily set up your use case by creating and controlling sprints on your board, with your clients having the visibility over this - you can even configure it such that client have some input in the process, but that is a purely configuration question.

Please give us a shout if you want to explore this further.

Hope it helps!

Thanks

Majid

@Richard R Miller hi there. Indeed, the Atlassian marketplace can offer a lot of options -depending on what you're looking for. One of the tools in the Atlassian Marketplace is ZigiOps. It's a fully no-code integration platform that would easily connect your Jira instances, sync them and keep them up-to-date - you can pick the exact data you want to sync/transfer (boards in your case). Feel free to check ZigiOps out and even give it a try via the Free Demo option.

Regards,

Diana

Hi @Richard R Miller , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.

You can have an synchronised integration between different cloud instances but you would need an app for this.

Exalate is a populare one -

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213645/exalate-jira-issue-sync-automation-more?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

But there are also some alternatives, like ScriptRunner Connect -

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1224414/scriptrunner-connect-atlassian-integration-to-anything?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

Exalate has a low-code way to do this, where there is a wizard which you can use to specify what should be synchronised, when, in which direction, etc. However, you would need the client also to have Exalate on their side.

ScriptRunner Connect has the same potential but without the wizard so you might need some consultancy or someone to help you with the scripting. You can reach out to the vendors directly if you have more detailed questions.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
