Moving issues - Issue links

When moving an issue the "links" to other issues get deleted. Is this intentional or is there a way to turn "keep links" on when moving issues to new projects.

Our Call Centre creates issues and then moves them to the assigned project team but in the process any links to existing issues get deleted. This gets very cumbersome as the user has to write down the linked issues on paper and then re-create the links after moving the issue.

So it turns out that it is something in a specific project definition, still haven't solved this yet. But, if you create an issue in Project A and then clone it the "cloned" link is "transient" in that any editing of the issue will make the link go away. Our general use case is that these issues are created, cloned and then moved to the desired project team and the "cloned from" link disappears when moving the issue but moving is not the culprit it is the transient nature of the link data.

Hi Derek,

That's not intentional, I did some tests and when you move an issue to another project, the link remains there.

I also found this improvement request, but not sure if this can be related to your case:

Maybe there is a plugin causing this misbehavior in your instance. You can check this by running your instance in safe mode. If the problem disappears, you can enable your plugins one by one to check which one is the culprit.

Hope that helps.
