Moving JIRA from Local Authentication to Active Directory

I am looking to both migrate JIRA to a new server and also change from Local Auth to Active Directory.

Is there a process for changing the auth type and combining users?

I have found some posts about it but they are all applying for old versions of JIRA, I am using the latest version.

Since you have Active Directory as LDAP, my recomendation is to use the delegated authentication.
