Move Jira form from one instance to another

Raphael Lamas June 21, 2022

Can someone let me know if there's an easier way to move a form from a sandbox(test) to a main Jira instance without needing to recreate it from scratch?

I don't need to move the issues or users, it's just the form.

It took me quite a while to re-design the form as I wasn't too familiar with how Jira works for this purpose (i.e. manage custom fields, field configuration schemes etc).

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi @Raphael Lamas ,

at the moment it's not possible to copy configuration items from one Jira instance to another. You would have to recreate your form manually.

However some addons can do this, you can try these :

Let me know if this helps,

Thanks for the speedy reply Alexis.  I will check if we have access to these addons in my org.

Nope, as of Nov 2024 they don't do forms either.

Yet another thing on the huge pile of things you just assume the mighty atlassian does, but it doesn't.
