Monitor total project hours per calendar month - Support Agreements

ThePixel May 28, 2013

Hello,

I am very new to Jira so would like to know how I can use it to track the number of hours spent on dev/support work per project each calendar month.

Some of our clients/projects pay for 20 hours dev/support work per calendar month, so I would like Jira to notify me when they projects getting close to using up all their hours for that month.

Thank you

Hi Kath,

Check this out

https://bitbucket.org/bhushan154/timereport/wiki/Home

It does not notify your users but it displays the total amount of time spent on each type of issue per week and per month.

Cheers

Bhushan

Hi Bhushan

Thank you, that looks perfect! However I am using the onDemand version and I did not realise I can't use add-ons.

Generally, what you will be using is JIRA's Time Tracking functionality.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Time+Tracking

There are however alot of add-ons for JIRA which you can use to extend this functionalitity. You can find them at Atlassian's Marketplace.
