Modify outgoing email layout

Is it possible to edit the outgoing email sent to users? We are using Jira OnDemand. If so, where can I do that?

Tsk! guys, you should know that JEMH (Enterprise Mail Handler for JIRA) has outbound email template editing support for JIRA Server, and coming out of the wings in a week or so will be the Cloud version for compatibility with JIRA Cloud / OnDemand.

See https://thepluginpeople.atlassian.net/wiki/display/JEMHC, JEMHC is currently in beta, and is going to be public real soon now (tm).

To run down the template editing features:

- full customization of velocity templates for CREATED, UPDATED and DELETED events only, TEXT, HTML and subject

- CSS customization

- Image support (images uploaded to JEMHC are distributed by CDN for reference in emails)

- Macro support, wrap and/or override default behaviour through custom velocity macros

Documentation is lacking right now, a focus real soon.

There is a feature request for allowing editing those email templates via the UI at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-7266. At this time, it would require file system access so is not possible in OnDemand.

I would suggest https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.labs.jira.emaileditor.emaileditor-jira-pluginbut that is not available for onDemand - so it seems there is no way to do that :(
