I find markdown support to be priceless asset when creating new tickets. This includes simple implementations like tables and code blocks to code blocks that are embedded into panels, and all manner of foolery. - The problem is is that when notifications are sent to my team mates phones, the markdown comes across as plain text. The actual ticket gets lost in the markdown.
Is there a setting that instructs JIRA to strip out mark-up code? I know the message may appear ugly, but at least the content will be there. Taking it a step further, things like panels can be set apart by a horizontal line. Table can utilize underscores and pipes to create an ASCII table, etc... But, if we can start the option of stripping markdown out of the mobile message, that would really help.
