Mixed http:// and https:// access using application links between JIRA and Stash

Kevin Smith January 14, 2015

Our Stash instance is running on a server using http, but our JIRA server is running on a server using https.  Will we have problems setting up an application link between them?  The server running JIRA with https has a full SSL certificate, not a self signed certificate.

This other question involved a cert problem, whereas my question is more protocol related, but they may in fact work the same way.

Hi Kevin,

You shouldn't run into any problems linking JIRA and Stash. That said, if your Stash server is a production server I'd recommend setting up TLS for security reasons.

cheers,

Tim

Our server is CAC controlled, so should be secure. Hopefully the CAC won't present any problems.
