Missing "Create Issue" action link/ button

Newbie question: I don't have a "Create Issue" button on our demo version of JIRA.

The demo license shows 20 days remain on our trial.

I can't find documentation that tells me how to get that button to appear.

I'm looking at the image on this page, and expecting it to display these action links:

    1. "+ Create Issue"
    2. "Create: Improvement | Bug | Other"

I confirmed that I am setup with "jira-administrators" rights.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Having Administrator right doesn't guarantee Create permission. See if you have Create permission.

Thank you, Jobin! Checking now. (Hoping it will be this easy.) :)

Hoping it will be this easy.)

Must be. Creating Issue is what JIRA is for ;)

Good news: It was just that easy! Thank you, sir.

I'm still not seeing it in the kanban board. I could create an issue by clicking the add in the TODO column but after that was done, I don't see the "create" button.

WHY?

Just saw there is no create button. Only a + sign at the left.

Being Jira a very intricate application with lots of menus and such, you should AVOID making any UI changes, otherwise your users will be always lost and uncomfortable.

Thanks for the tip Greg. Indeed, I would have prefer a nice big Create button durectly on the Kanban.

I agree. Not having a "Create Issue" button at the top-right of the page is confusing for new users.

I spent one hour to deal with this "create an issue" missing button and still can't find this button. In project's permissions creating an issue is granted to any logged in user.
My simple solution is to open directly this address:

Check on the left sidebar.

Thanks Vatlav, the confusion for new users comes from that when there is no issues on the right we can see "create an issue" button and after that we didn't look on the left.

Also in lots of the screens you can find all related buttons on the right side - e.g. Projects screen has "Create project" button.

It looks like Atlassian has heard our feedback! https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/A-better-navigation-for-Jira-Cloud-is-coming-soon/ba-p/1216077

A more discoverable search & create experience: We’ve made the create button and search bar more intuitive and easier to access to that you can create issues, and search for boards, queues, issues and filters in Jira from anywhere.

it seems to be a terrible UX/UI choice ! Our team of 27 persons needed 10 minutes to find it.

This is a terrible design. I couldnt find it until I saw this post.
